There’s three card monte and then there’s Trump’s two card monte. In three card monte you have to guess under which shell the pea is located. In two Trump’s two card monte there is no pea because he’s swiped the third card with the pea off the table.
Michael Schmidt, The New York Times reporter who has broken major stories about this president and his administration and has a new book out today where he explains what happened to the Trump Russia investigation.
Essentially, McCabe as FBI acting director launched the investigation; Robert Mueller as Special Prosecutor was thought to be dealing with it but was told by his boss, Rob Rosenstien to concentrate on the 2016 interference and not the Trump involvement and there it died.
Therefore the central question after 2016 was how involved was Trump with Russia has never been properly investigated.
We do have a 980 page Senate report and we have Mueller’s report. Both show a lot of communication with Russians. Is it criminal? My guess? YEAH. But without a real criminal investigation nothing will happen.
Okay then, moving on. The Trump Campaign. Seems the strategy is to show what’s going on in our country today and say that if Biden gets elected this will continue. Odd, but the speculation by some pundits is that maybe Trump doesn’t know he’s president? That he does know what he is depicting is the America he created.
The other day Trump supporters in trucks armed with long rifles and paintball guns stormed into a peaceful protest and started ramming the crowd and shooting paint balls at the peaceful protestors. Some have tried to make an argument of equivalence, but there are no armed militias of Biden supporters driving around trying to incite violence.
And as far as Biden’s America, we seen eight years of it. Remember? He and Barrack took over a country on the verge of economic depression and turned it around. Trump got to ride that gravy train for the first three years of his presidency.
Train ride is over. Face the music.
