The queen died.

At times like this what can one do? What can one hope for?

I’ll tell you what – Jon Stewart.

I want to hear Jon mimicking the Queen’s voice. Maybe in a seance with a ouija board?

“Hello? Hello? Yes, it’s me, Queen Elizabeth. I’m not Queen anymore. You see I’m dead. How’s everybody getting along? Charlie is now king. Oh dear. That means Camilla is the king’s consort or some such I suppose. You know I do agree with that lady who said about her and Diana that usually you trade in the old hag for the pretty younger person, not the other way round. Charlie never was too bright. Oh dear, I fear for the monarchy. I do. Gotta go. I’m next in line to get in. Pearly Gates you know. they do look a bit shabby. Nothing a bit of gold leaf couldn’t fix. I don’t know if they serve tea up here. Might run right thorough me. To-dah-loo!”

In the only other news, wait two bits of news, so first bit second:

The DOJ sent a brief to the judge offering her a way out of her ridiculous judgement. Basically they said that they need to have the 100 classified documents precluded from the special master request because the documents belong to the government not Donald Trump. He stole them. So having someone judge whether they should go back to him is stupid. (or alternatively they could have argued “seeing as how he says the FBI planted them, he can’t have them because he never had them.”)

They also pointed out that the FBI investigates both National Security matters and criminal matters so ya see the same people are doing those things and you can’t ask one to stop and let the other go forward because the same agency and people in that bureau and at the head of that bureau are charged with doing both of those things. They are linked together and can’t be separated. This is kind of like explaining to Reagan that once a nuclear missile is launched it can’t be recalled, a fact he didn’t understand.

So what did the judge do? She sent a note to the Trump team asking, “Hey, what do you think?”

Can’t wait to see what that pack of legal beagles says. (We could game it out, but let’s wait and see. Oh hell, game it out:

Either they say, “We agree.” or they say, “Oh no, they are little hands Donnie’s” To which the DOJ will tear ‘em apart. As in “Oh yeah? How do you figure? Please indulge me…” )

The second bit is Steve Bannon. I saw him in cuffs! This is so weird. He goes to the courthouse or wherever in New York. Then they put him in cuffs and march him down the hallway. All the while he’s crying out about something. When he was outside the courthouse he stopped to wag his finger and try to explain why…

Lemme explain something to you Steve-a-rino, if you ask people for money and you tell them that it’s all goi to be used for what you are asking them to give you the money and you take that money and put it in your bank account that’s called fraud. You go to jail for fraud. Get it?

Oh, and here’s the real beauty of this situation. First off you can be charged in New York for the same crimes you committed and were charged with in Federal court. I know. I know. Double Jeopardy! Terrible. Terrible. I don’t know how George Soros did it to poor old Steve, but he must have because Steve said so! I wasn’t sure why or how, but then it was explained to me as the “blame a Jew” defense. Got it.

But here’s the real cool thing. See Bannon was pardoned by Trump – BEFORE HE WENT TO TRIAL.

Therefore, even if NY didn’t have the law saying they can try you for the same crime you committed and were tried for in Federal Court that doesn’t matter because he never went to trial. There is no double-jeopardy, because there was no Federal trial.  I love it.

“I do too.”

Is that you Lizzie?

“Yes, waiting my turn. Ta-tah.”
