Day 602 Thursday September 13, 2018 976 Days to Go
As Hurricane Florence begins to make landfall it is being reported that there are three other storms right behind it, on the same track. There are nine storms currently active in the tropics: 4 in the Atlantic, 2 in the Eastern Pacific, 2 in the Western Pacific. Fortunatley, climate change is a hoax foisted on us by liberals so we have nothing to worry about, and the response by the Trump administration to Hurricane Maria in Puerto Rico was one of the greatest responses ever, if not the best of all time. (Many of you may not have known these “alternate facts” so in fairness to not be accused of liberal bias I thought I present them here. For come reason the right wing conservative media is bitching that Google isn’t representing them enough. I don’t know. I think I hear enough crazed wacky alt right views, I don’t know about you.)
Moving on. One of the newscasters was crowing about the newest, the latest technology which his network now had. They are able now with this incredible technology to show you the actual wind readings, in real time, right on your screen! He was quite amazed by this. I have a photograph of this technology to share with you exactly how it is done.
Step one: hold that little yellow do-dad up into the wind. It is apparently called … wait for it … a wind meter. Little fan blades whirl around inside the thingee and it records the wind speed.
Step two: (We had to break to New York to get “the rest of the story.” )There’s a gizmo that is attached to the yellow thingee which relays the information (I.e. the wind speed) to an app on your phone, which is then uploaded to the weather central at the studio and that signal is then transferred onto the output signal going to your TV. Amazing!
So to summarize this technique and to tell you how you could also do this: Get the same old wind meter that we kitefliers have been using for decades and hold it up in the wind, then take your cellphone and take a picture, or video, or livestream and send it out to whomever!
I think they took down the graphic when the wind speed being recorded was 9 or 10 mph. Not really all that impressive.
What else? Seems maybe the Russians were the ones doing the sonic attacks on our diplomats in Cuba.
