11 Days* until the election on November 3rd
91 Days until the Inauguration on January 20, 2021
A few days ago Kamala Harris said Trump had exhibited a reckless disregard for human life.
Harris a former prosecutor obviously knew what she was saying. It’s the core definition of the crime of manslaughter.
This raises an interesting question for me, and I hope some of my legal friends can weigh in.
“Could Trump be charged for mass-manslaughter for his reckless behavior as president?”
A week or so ago Kieth Obermann pointed out that by the president not insisting people wear masks in public it meant that another 86,000 people would die by Inauguration Day. (This based on a statistical study saying that if 95% of people in public wore maks, deaths could be reduced by that amount.)
So is he? Is Trump guilty of manslaughter? Could he be arrested and tried?
Chris Rock said in his opening SNL monologue that the presidency is the only job guaranteed for four years. Rock asked the question what would happen if a cook had a four year contract, but his cooking made people vomit? Would you have to put up with four years of vomiting?
So many questions.
But now I must work on the debate from last night. Fortunately, Bryce Holliwell, ace reporter was in the room and I have an exclusive interview with him.
Stay tuned.
