1 Day until the election on November 3rd

81 Days until the Inauguration on January 20, 2021

Tomorrow is Election Day. Many have already voted. So what will the final outcome be?

Fear not. I know.

Celebrating the End

96 million have voted. That’s 70% of all that voted in 2016. If a large turnout happens it favors Democrats. It will be a sweeping victory for the Dems and the Republicans and Trump will try to throw out as many ballots as they can. They will be aided and abetted by all the judges Mitch McConnell has stuffed into our Judiciary.

But it will fail. Joe and the Dems will have the House, The Senate. Hopefully, they will get something done.

Day 1382 – The Last Sunday Before the Shellacking – Covid, the Election, and Beyond

One … Two …

2 Days until the election on November 3rd

82 Days until the Inauguration on January 20, 2021

There was an episode on The New Outer Limits or was it the revamped Twilight Zone?

Maybe, it was Twilight. It was in color so it was one of those two TV shows. It involved a man coming to a young couple’s house. He gave them a box with a giant red button. He said that if they pressed the button they would receive a lot of money, like $250,000, but if they pressed the button “Someone they did not know would die.”

They were struggling financially. They argued about doing it. One of them threw it in the dumpster, the other went and got it out. They looked in the box. The button wasn’t connected to anything. Finally, one of them pushed it. Nothing happened.

The next day the man came to their door to reclaim the button. He gave them their money. They asked what would happen. He said nothing. The button would be reconditioned and given to someone else. The only thing he could tell them was the button would be given to someone they did not know.

End of show.

And that, is like Covid and not wearing a mask. By wearing one you are saving the life of someone. You may not know who, but the point is if 95% of the people would wear masks, the rate of infection would go way down. Some people would not die. You may not know who, but we know that the rate of infection and hence rate of death would go down.

If everyone would do everything they were told to do about combating this virus for two weeks, the virus would be gone. It would take longer, no doubt, but the point is it wouldn’t be spreading any more. It would get down to a manageable size where we could stamp it out.

On to the Election. Noam Chomsky called Satan the biggest criminal of all time. Quite a statement. Meanwhile a bunch of Satan’s supporters formed a line of trucks and parked illegally on an Interstate waiting for the Biden bus to come along. There was violence. One of the staffer’s cars got hit. I wish Joe and Kamala had been able to switch to an unmarked car and the bus had driven the trucks to the desert. Or I wish the Biden bus had thought to do all four loops of a cloverleaf and have a staff car right behind the bus stop and plug up the lane so trucks couldn’t follow. Ah me. I can dream. 405 Baby. That’s the number of electoral votes I’m thinking Biden will get.

But the fight isn’t over. We need to keep the foot to the throat and kill this thing.

Then there’s the aftermath, the lame duck session, and all the damage that the people behind Trump have put in place. They really don’t care that Trump is out they got what they wanted in a bunch of really bad judges in positions.

If McConnell wins and if the Republicans lose the Senate, I hope Chuck Schumer will ram one bill through after another. Each bill would be something that would actually help people. Meanwhile, we will have to deal with Trump’s crimes and those of his enablers.

There’s a lot of work to be done.

Three!

PS One, no two, no three. Three Rothkos!

Can you find them all?
