Day 16 – Part 2: How to End the Pandemic. It’s been done!

Let me ask you if there is a way to end the pandemic now should we do it?

The answer is – Of Course!

I know “But …”

But nothing. It’s been done. 

What?

So let’s do it you say?

Okay. I’ll tell you but here’s the thing. A while back there was a study published about a clinic in a university that was trying to get students to come to the infirmary to get flu shots. They tried articles in the student newspaper – no luck. They tried advertising – no luck. They created a handout with a map to the infirmary and the hours the infirmary was open – no luck. They even put an arrow on the map pointing to the infirmary – no luck. Then they put the hours the infirmary was open on the arrow pointing to the infirmary and BINGO! Students came in to get their flu shots.

This is such a story.

India.

They had 100,000 new cases a day.

Now?

They have 9,300 new cases a day.

What happened?

They passed a law.

It said everyone had to wear a mask in public.

So what?

If you didn’t you were fined. 

So what?

You were fined on the spot ($2.75) and you were given a mask.

Ah ha.

Cases dropped from 100,000 to 9,300.

So anyone who says, “Masks don’t work!” Should be fined and given a mask.

If they don’t put it on – no problem. The next officer will fine them again and give them a mask. 

Eventually, they will either go home, run out of money and go to jail, or they will take one of the wad of masks they have in their pocket and put it on.

Problem solved.
