Within the hour President Biden will make his first speech as President to the nation and to Congress. The media is abuzz about what he will say.
Are you kidding me?
He’s been saying the same thing for forty years.
Come on. If you don’t know by now. Go home. Grab the remote and watch All In The Family.
Rudy got his apartment raided and they took his electronic devices. Wow. What took so long? Good question. Why did it take 49 days to confirm Merrick Garland yet 19 to confirm Jef Sessions?
What is the question here?
Moving on, one of my right wing friends whom I went to school with back in the eight grade posts these right wing memes. One of them was asking why Biden was spending $4T on the economy when under Satan it was doing just fine. Obviously, my friend doesn’t understand economics or much else about what’s going on in America. But the thing that got me was his buddy whom came in with a response spewing about the liberal elites and their socialist agenda. Blah bleh blah.
So I asked in response wasn’t he tired of the welfare states and their taker socialist mentality?
Thie got me to thinking that I think we should impose the golden rule in Congress. When it comes to spending money those who have the gold make the rules ( Am I right? Can I hear an “Amen”? ).
To that end I think that any welfare state, and by welfare I mean any state that takes more from the Federal government than they put in, should not be allowed via their elected representatives to vote on how money in the Federal government is spent.
It’s a modest, simple, straight forward idea. Kind of a kitchen table way of dealing with spending. ( “You got the money? You can spend it.” ) If you are a taker then you are a welfare queen and should be labelled as such.
Easy.
Next?
