Day 70 – Fraud? Abuse? Stupidity

March 30, 2025 by Rick Kinnaird 2 Comments

I’m Ready
Let’s Go!

Sunday, March 30, 2025

I was counting the days from the beginning of the year and then 12 later when the current administration took office. I’ve dropped the beginning of the year ear and just going with when the new administration took office. So much winning.

Since taking office the price of eggs has gone way up and the supply way down. This was a key point of their campaign. All claims of fraud or abuse by the previous administration or anything before this crew took over have been shown to be negligible to non-existent, while the current admin was been rift with both.

But perhaps worse than all that is the stupidity. This is something Hillary pointed out in  NYT op-ed.  Despite, what some may think about her I have found that what she says is typically right on the money.

A recent report has said that with all the chopping and chaos caused the government actually has spent more – not less. Amazing. Interestingly, Mr. Musk has said he’s about to stop DOGeing because he’s close to cutting one trillion dollars. Well, that’s good to hear. I mean that he’s stopping his destruction.

It will be interesting to see how Tesla does now. BYD the Chinese electric car company has surpassed Tesla in sales. Will Tesla ever recover its cache? I doubt it.

Meanwhile, amazing things have been happening. The Secretary of Defense and many in the administration had a fun chat revealing Top-Secret information and details about a bombing raid. It sounded so bro-ish when you read the Not-Top-Secret details. The best take-off (well, 2nd best. SNL did a great cold open about it.) was a little video clip. South Pacific theme – good looking 30ish guy and similarly aged  raven haired beauty having a conversation: “I have to get back to base. We’re bombing the depot at 1800 hours and we are coming in low so radar can’t pick us until up.” “When will you be back?” “Sorry, that’s classified.” The Hegseth Files.

Yeah. The stupidity. Worse than the hypocrisy. Worse than the lying, the gas lighting. It’s the ignorance, the lack of understanding.

Meanwhile, the measles outbreaks are doing really well. Our secretary of health has helped by giving information out that has called used children to have liver damage. The head of HHS’ vaccine program has resigned because he would lie for Bobby. Or as the press release said – something about “the bold leadership of the secretary.” Yeah, right bold leadership. That’s it.

ICE has taken to snatching students off the streets. They wear masks and are dressed in black. They don’t identify themselves right away. What will happen if they run into a stand-your-ground proponent? Probably low probability because Fulbright scholars and PhD candidates tend to be smart. However, if I was a foreign student on a visa, I’d be making friends with the local gun shop owner. In one case, ICE, entered a school looking for the school nurse. (Now, that’s terrorist for ya. She probably wanted to vaccinate someone. With a needle!) The student body turned out, surrounded the situation, phones raised. ICE retreated.

You know. It used to be one stupid thing a day. Now, we seem to be up to one an hour.

In other winning – the Vice-President went to Greenland. Well, kind of. He went to a U.S. base 1,000 miles from anywhere. It’s the only place that would have him. Personally, I would have arrested him and sent him to El Salvador and denied the whole thing.

Deep red Republican districts are turning on the Trump MAGA folks. Apparently, these folks didn’t think that “they would do that.” Whatever you want to put in for “that.” Cut Social Security (“We aren’t doing that!”). Lay off thousands from Social Security and close field offices and shutdown phone service and make people come to field offices in person (“We haven’t done that!”) Cut the Veterans Administration (“We aren’t doing that!”). Lay off thousands from the Veterans Administration and close field offices (no, sorry hospitals) and shutdown phone service and (“We haven’t done that!”) Huh. yes. Yes you have.

Apparetly Pete Hegseth brought his wife to meetings so that he wouldn’t be questions about his affairs. Smart. (like stupid smart.)

I am left to wonder how Cash Patel is doing over at the FBI. He was going to turn HQ into The Deep State Museum on day one. How’s that going? He also wanted to have pro-wrestlers train FBI agents. I’d pay to watch that. But alas – no word.

I had a dream. The dream was that Laura Ingraham actually gave scientifically factual information about vaccines and that this in turn saved lives. But it was only a dream. I wonder if the parents of the children whose children were harmed by her advice can sue?

So much winning.

I’m holding out hope for the upcoming special elections-if Pennsylvania is an indicator, there may be a teeny tiny light at the end of the tunnel.

There was a Tesla Take Down protest here in Ann Arbor yesterday-it was 5 blocks long. We haven’t seen anything like that since the war protests in ’68.

I asked a woman on FB to provide proof for her claim that DOGE had found a trillion dollars of fraud in Social Security. She told me to go to X and they had line by line proof. Is that why it isn’t printed in the regular media. You have to join X to find it? This whole thing is worse than a nightmare.
The best part was that Vance couldn’t stay in Greenland longer than 3 hours. Wonder if the environment was so hostile to him he could feel it.
