12 Days* until the election on November 3rd
92 Days until the Inauguration on January 20, 2021
Joyce Vance and Barbra McQuade had an article in The Washington Post on October 16th, entitled “A Rap Sheet for a Former President”
Here’s the link:
It’s an impressive list, including:
Obstruction of Justice,
Bribery,
Conspiracy to Defraud the United States,
Campaign Finance Violations,
Money Laundering,
Preparing False Business Records,
Hatch Act Violations,
These are mostly Federal crimes, but some are state crimes.
There is talk that Trump would not be allowed to leave the country for fear that he would sell state secrets. Not that he would try to avoid prosecution, but that he would betray the country!
I know there are some folks who say, “Oh that’s just an opinion.” They would be wrong. Robert Mueller laid out in his report numerous examples of the president meeting every circumstance for a charges of obstruction of justice. He did so “to preserve the evidence.”
This ain’t no opinion. These are facts. Not alternate facts. Not fake news. No facts that can be used to charge someone with crimes.
Now if you want an opinion let’s go to The Steele Report, wherein Mr. Steele wrote that Trump was letting his stuff with Russia be known so his crimes (or dealings) with China would not be known.
Hum.
Should be an interesting debate, if he shows. And they have a mute button.
Should be very interesting.
I’d like to see them both in plexiglass cells.
Wouldn’t it be fun to watch Trump thrashing around. Okay. Not so much fun, but still.
One last bone to pick. That prissy David Brooks said that Biden’s Townhall was boring. Fuck You! We had entertainment for four years, how did that work out? I found Biden’s townhall to be a welcome relief. Here was a man talking policy, talking what he had done and what he planned to do. Maybe, David Brooks you are in the wrong line of work? I mean anytime a Democrat or slightly progressive person says anything you make that stupid little face and stick in a slightly nasty comment: Obama’s State of the Union was “small bore,” other times if it the talk is big ideas it’s “vague.” I have yet to hear you come up with anything positive.
