Day 943 – Restoring The American Dream

That’s what we need to do.

We need to build the America where a person can go to college, come out debt free,be healthy,  get a job, buy a house and take a trip and not be in debt forever.

We need an America where you can live decently. Where a minimum wage job allows you to have food, clothing, medicine, and a place to live.

Not where you have to choose between food and rent.

We need to restore The American Dream.

We can work together to do it or we can bicker about it not being so.

I’m tired of bickering.

Let’s get to work.

Day 941 – Choking on Their Own Spit

As I finished reading through the rest of the Fani Willis indictment I was struck by how serious the crimes were that were committed. I kept thinking of Sidney Powell when she was giving testimony to the January 6th Committee. How she looked nothing like she did when she was at the press conferences before and how she told the committee “all I did” kind of stuff, that when you stopped and thought about it was crazy. Or Peter Navarro talking about the “Green Bay Sweep.” What Fani Willis did was to call what was done criminal. “All I did” was forgery, making false statements, defrauding the state and the People of Georgia.

I thought about how it is important for the conspiracy theorists to have something like QAnon because they need grist. Without it they would whither and die.

The problem Powell, Giuliani, Trump and the others have is that they tell each other the same lies over and over again, until they believe it. Then they go out and try to prove those lies and that’s where the rubber meets the road and they got nothing. So they have to find new lies to tell. otherwise they will choke on their own spit, which is what is happening in Georgia.

When I read the indictments I was struck by how criminal and how stupid it was.

I think many of these people have gotten away with telling lies for so long and not being held to account that they thought they could just keep doing it.

Okay, moving on, or at least sideways. I heard Keisha Bottoms, the former Atlanta mayor, talk about Fani Willis. They had worked together in a law office. She said it was the kind of place where you’d be pleading a case in the morning and unjamming the copier in the afternoon. Fani has done defense work and prosecutor work. Her dad was a lawyer and she used to go into his office as a kid and help out, filing and typing and stuff like that. In other words, she’s done it all, worked her way up and oh yeah tried some of the biggest RICO case ever. She’s got one going right now against a rapper called Young Thug, who has a gang called Young Slim Life (YSL), and his buddy Gunna. Seems if you act like a criminal, you might just be a criminal. It’s a 181 count indictment and the trial has been going on for eight months. Hum, Donnie might be busy.

Oh, and in a really weird thing – The Fulton County sheriff says he’ll treat everyone the same: book ‘em, mug shot, fingerprints. What? Don’t you realize who were talking about here? Young Thug, Donnie T doesn’t matter.

As I was picking my second round of figs yesterday I kept saying in my mind, “Fani don’t play.”

Day 940 – Reading the Indictment

Pg 13 “as if fully set forth herein” – Maybe there’s more? ie it’s not all set forth? Hum.

Pg 15 “Impersonating a public officer” – oh boy, this will be good

Please remember Donald is releasing a document on Monday that will expose what a fraud this is. It will blow the investigation and the charges to smithereens – just like the one he did against Jack Smith?

And Rudy says you don’t use Rico in such a case. Such expertise.

Eight “Manner and Methods” of the enterprise are listed:

Making false statements about the Georgia election to legislators, The Governor, The Georgia Secretary of State, etc. Making false claims about Ruby Freedman and intimidating her. … etc. Oh boy.

(I guess they are going to claim this was all Freedom of Speech. Do ya think Trump will call Fani Willis a nasty woman?)

Okay, hold on. Mark Meadows is trying to move the case to Federal court. There is an argument for doing this. That is if the person was acting within their official duties. Meadows is arguing that he was making arrangements for the President, and placing phone calls, etc. All in his official capacity. The problem for him will be trying to convince a Federal judge that attempting to overthrow the government of The United States was part of his official duties.

Got through Count 1. It goes to page 72. Violation of Georgia RICO Act. This specifies things like phone calls, tweets, visits, meetings, etc. all in furtherance of the criminal enterprise (Ie Trying to get Trump declared winner of an election he lost). This includes intimidating by name the two election workers in Georgia. Rudy said they were passing a usb drive like it was a vial of cocaine. In fact, the daughter was giving her mother “a ginger mint.” Hey. Come on, you know they make usb drives look like all sorts of cute things. Maybe, there’s “a ginger mint usb drive”? Who knows?

This count also outlines the fake elector scheme in multiple states. Also, the attempt to get Mike Pence to not certify the vote on Jan 6th. (In an act of real (NOT) bravery Mike Pence came out today (August 16, 2023) and said Trump did not win Georgia in 2020. Great work Mike! Three years late, but … but what?)

I read counts 2 & 3 on page 72. I needed to stop.

More tomorrow.

O’s (Baltimore Orioles) are in first place. Yankees (suck) are in last – 14 games out. Who – ha.

Day 939 – 160, 161, 162, Do I Hear 163?

August 15, 2023 by Rick Kinnaird 1 Comment

13 charges, 163 statements. If found guilty on 2 of the 163 that’s Racketeering (RICO) and everyone gets five years minimum. At least that is my understanding of the way this works.

What are the odds? (Of getting two out of 163? Uh, 100%?)

So now we’ll get into the weird and wacky, or the sniveling and pathetic.  Probably both.

Rudy is 79. Say two or three years of trial and appeals then five years, he’ll be out when he’s 88.

Trump? Fugetaboutit.

The others? Five years.

Done.

I hope it will be a different America when they get out.

This is not a done deal. This could move to Federal court, which would be a shame because their RICO law is not as strict.

But we do know there were attempts to steal ballots and voter data. We do know there was voter fraud and conspiracy to commit same. Just like Trump and his sycophants said. Only, it was them! Not “the other.”

Day 938 – The Mueller Mash

August 15, 2023 by Rick Kinnaird 2 Comments

Monday, August 14, 2015

Fa….Fa….

To the tune of “Monster Mash”

I was sitting in my chair late one night

When I heard Fani would indict

For a moment my hopes began to excite

What if she should indict?

I did the Mueller Mash

The Mueller Mash

It was to be a courtroom smash

To do the Mueller Mash

It caught on in a flash

Figs!

To do the Mueller Mash

It was to be a courtroom smash

To the courtroom in the New York east

To the master’s chambers we heard the beast

The fools came out from their humble abodes

To get a bunch from QAnon  trolls

They did the Mueller Mash

The Mueller Mash

It was to be a courtroom smash

To do the Mueller Mash

It caught on in a flash

To do the Mueller Mash

It was to be a courtroom smash

Fani was having fun

Indictments to be done

Those included Trump and his son

Rudy his dye had begun to run

and we were all thinking if round

that jail would soon be found

Alternate facts would survive

and we wondered did the party die?

Up to the podium Garland did appear

Here’s hoping what we’d hear

He opened his binder and said with bland

We’ll follow the law in this land

Everything’s cool now that Jack is part of the band

And justice we’ve learned

Is slow to indict

So come on Fani and make it right

Mmgrrr (Mueller Mash)

Easy Donald you impetuous young boy

Mmgrr Mueller Mash.
